Zone details
Area covered
The Dundee LEZ covers defined central streets, not every road in the city. Use the official boundary map to check your approach.
Emissions standards
Check vehicle category, fuel and Euro standard. Ordinary passenger cars generally need Euro 4 petrol or Euro 6 diesel; heavy vehicles have their own standard.
Foreign vehicles are covered too. Compare the actual documents with the official checker and instructions for overseas registrations.
Operating hours and enforcement
The zones operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays. Enforcement uses registration-plate cameras.
This is not London’s daily-charge model. You cannot purchase an ordinary ticket to avoid a penalty for entering in a non-compliant car.
Exemptions and parking
Exemptions have specific conditions and some require registration. Check the Scottish process rather than relying on an overseas permit alone.
If the vehicle does not qualify, park outside and verify the complete approach against official maps and street signs.
