Zone details

Area covered

Antwerp LEZ covers a defined part of the city. Use the Slim naar Antwerpen map for your hotel or car park and check the left-bank area and each approach road.

Vehicle eligibility

For ordinary cars in 2026, the usual threshold is Euro 5 for diesel and Euro 2 for petrol. Use the city’s checker for other fuels, vans, buses and special vehicles.

Assess eligibility for the day of your trip. If the vehicle does not meet normal conditions, check local paid permits or exemptions.

Registration in Flanders

Antwerp and Ghent share the Flemish registration system. A compliant Czech-registered vehicle normally needs free registration. Check the instructions for your registration country and provide the registration certificate and emissions details.

Arrange registration before travelling and retain confirmation. Flemish registration does not replace Brussels registration or another local traffic permit.

Cameras and parking

Cameras monitor access. Check that a day pass or exemption covers the right vehicle and date.

If parking outside the LEZ, check the final part of the approach route. A reservation inside the zone or a navigation suggestion does not establish access rights.
